Investing in postsecondary infrastructure is part of our plan to create jobs, grow our economy and help people in their everyday lives.
“Our government is proud to support this important project giving Conestoga College students access to renewed and upgraded facilities that provide space for Pathways to Prosperity. We know that supporting access to high-quality education and training facilities is critical to building the highly-skilled workforce we need to create good jobs and economic growth for today and tomorrow. This investment will help us to do that.”
“By investing almost $2 million at Conestoga College’s north campus, our government is making sure Waterloo Region continues to be a leader in applied post-secondary education. Through this project we are ensuring Conestoga’s students can address the shortage of digital talent through expanded and new programming, and address the hospitality industry’s needs for a range of careers such as research chefs, new product developers, and culinary entrepreneurs.”
Hon. Kathryn McGarry
“These infrastructure investments will create good, well-paying jobs that can help the middle class grow and prosper today, while also delivering sustained economic growth for years to come. Through the Strategic Investment Fund, we are strengthening the foundation for building Canada into a global centre for innovation.”
“This investment will enable Conestoga to build essential capacity to address the needs of our growing community, foster innovation and create new opportunities for individuals to build the skills and knowledge that will contribute to successful careers, stronger businesses, and economic growth across our dynamic region.”
